Traffic Control Person (NB, NL, NS, PE)
The Traffic Control Program will provide participants with the knowledge and skills for certification as a Traffic Control Person. Upon successful completion attendees receive a certificate valid for three years and are immediately certified to start working as a Traffic Controller.
Training includes:
- Legislative roles and responsibilities of workplace parties
- Traffic control legislation,
- Roles and responsibilities of TCP's
- Traffic control devices and the hierarchy of controls
- Setting up, maintaining and removing work sites
- Heavy equipment and hazards associated with working around construction equipment, Emergency preparedness/response activities
- Accident/incident reporting
